Little A recently had some allergy skin testing done to try to find a cause to his asthma. With needing about 60 scratch tests done, I knew there had to be a way to make him comfortable so I asked the Allergist. Sure was! Lidocaine numbing cream!! We spread the entire tube on his back and had to wrap his back in Saran Wrap so the lotion would quickly be absorbed into the skin. Boy, did Little A think he was hot stuff!! He was so proud that he was wrapped in Saran Wrap! Once we got the the Allergist, his back was totally numb and he didn't even flinch during the testing. I recommend the Lidocaine cream to any parents having their children doing the allergy testing.
(By the way, we believe his asthma is a result of his 5 1/2 week premature birth not a severe reaction to anything at this point)
