Grandaddy

J's grandfather, Grandaddy, passed away Sunday evening and was greeted by his lovely wife and daughter at the Gates of Heaven. Big A and Little A loved to visit him and play with his toy trains. Grandaddy retired as an Engineer and had train stuff everywhere. Little A would take the train and run it from the tip of Grandaddy's shoe, up his leg, across his chest, over his shoulder and make it stop on top of Grandaddy's head. I don't know who laughed harder, Little A or Grandaddy! Big A loved to shine his shoes for him. She would take his shoe shine brush and go to town. She made sure her Grandaddy always looked handsome! We sure do miss you here on Earth, Grandaddy, but we know now that you are running, jumping, fishing, fixin' cars, and swatting lizards in your brand-new healthy body.

Glad you are home and doing better. My prayers are with the family in the loss of your Grandaddy, I know he will be so missed, but it's wonderful to think of him together with Mimmie and Shirley, and all three of them free from suffering :)
