Flag Day Celebration

My grandfather (in the red hat) invited us to join him and several of his church members to participate in celebrating Flag Day.(Flag Day is June 14th) We walked to the top of one of our bridges downtown and waved flags as the cars drove past. Several cars honked their horns back. The kids thought that was pretty neat. We noticed a gentleman (he is a member of my grandfather's church)in a Marine Corp uniform standing nearby that was so proud to be there. As we talked with him, he told us that he was in WWII and was 91 years young! He was very honored to have served his country. It was a fun afternoon! A BIG thank you to everyone who serves to give us our freedom!
