This past week, Little A went on his first field trip! He was so excited! His school went to the fire station for a tour and to enhance what they have been learning at school during fire safety month. The station we visited was downtown and we had a hard time getting there because Governor Palin was in town and most the downtown streets were closed. He was able to "ride" in the fire truck, learn about all the tools, watch the ladder extend 100 feet in the air and tour the fire station. The firefighters showed the children where they ate, watched tv and sleeped. Little A was most impressed with how the alarm system worked. I was even impressed with the living quarters. So clean and tidy!! Thanks, Station #1 for such an exciting day!! We all are so thankful for your dedication to your jobs!
